Hi my name is Takara Dancy and I am a Dorset based fashion and portrait photographer.

My journal is still under construction at the moment and I am trying to juggle this and a fashion shoot at the same time (when she's in make-up).

amazing gallery youve got!! i found you through the Photography institutes testimonials, i was just curious was the course really as good as everyone says? and also what do you get at the end of the course is it something that is recognised in the industry?? :)

I'm not sure how recognised the diploma you get on the course is as I'm a freelance photographer and have yet to test it in the industry, but the course itself helped me a lot with learning how my camera works, lighting and how to set up your own studio etc. Plus there are tutors who can help if you have any issues with the course work.

I know it is a lot of money to spend, but it helps with getting you head around some of the more technical stuff as well as way to improve you photography skills, whether you do landscapes or fashion photography. I must admit my work as improved a lot since taking the course.

I hope this helps, and if you do decided to take the course, I hope it helps you with your photography skill as it did with mine.

thanks for the reply!! yea thats really helped, ive only just started out recently doing photography with an SLR and do have a circle of friends that have been doing photography for a number of years, im just weighing up everything at the moment! i know i cant go back to college full time and some of the other courses seem expensive when they're weekend or specifics!! if i take the plunge i'll let you know! :)
